Life was...
Bleak and grey,
Before you came into my life.
An incessant downpour;
With no shelter for me to lean on.



Life was...
One huge mockery.
Just when I felt the doors were closing,
A gentle breeze;
Came and chased away the downpour.



Life is...
Full of surprises.
I wonder how I ever survived for so long,
The little gestures,
Never failes to warm and melt my heart.



Life is...
Contentment and peace.
For you never fail to astound me.
A wonderful being,
Your sweetness touches upon my very soul.



Life together...
Rainbow of colours.
I see images and pictures of the future.
A life together,
Silly squabbles over the little things.



Life together...
A wonderful beginning;
That hopefully would last for a lifetime.
The jaded cynic,
Has been conquered by a sweet angel.

Author's Comments

This was something I had written like almost 2 weeks ago...This is a mushy poem -- I'm not at my best, i know. =P


This are the feelings that I feel when I'm with my boy! (~devotedguy) It describes my life, prior to his existence in my life, with him around, and what I am looking forward to in the future! Don't ask me about the title...I was tearing my hair out trying to think up of something decent..And I guess, this poem is about life, in its parts and now, having found him, my life's now whole and complete...

Life can't be boring, gray and bad all your life. There are humans out there why return the colour and happiness. I'm happy that you're even happier than before. You deserve it! :hug:
